Scott Whitmore, RPh, MBA
Scott Whitmore earned a zoology degree and later a pharmacy degree and MBA from the University of Wisconsin. Scott started his career as the Director of Professional Affairs for the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin where he analyzed and shaped public policy as well as developed and delivered educational seminars for the state’s pharmacists. Scott later obtained an interest in a closed door, long term care pharmacy serving as the lead clinical consultant for a company which delivered specially packaged medications and clinical consulting expertise to prescribers and nurses caring for residents of long term care facilities. Following the sale of this business venture, Scott went to work as a clinical pharmacist for a pharmacy benefit manager. Mr. Whitmore joined Milliman IntelliScript in July of 2011 as their Director of Clinical Services. Much of Scott’s current focus with IntelliScript is on consulting with clients and assisting life, health and LTC underwriters with evaluation of risk through the use of prescription and medical data rule engines. Scott is a frequent speaker at life industry conferences and is a licensed pharmacist in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois. He still occasionally practices in a community pharmacy.
